Season | 3 Episode 1 | Alicia Dicks

President of The Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties, Mom, and big fan of the Mohawk Valley

Alicia moved around a lot as a military kid, and then landed in New York City after her parents divorced. This exposure to different cultures definitely helped shape her life. College brought her to Upstate New York where she would stay the rest of her life. Her early career was spent working for the City of Albany before moving to Utica as things got serious with her then boyfriend (now husband) amidst a career change into the utility sector. After becoming a mom, life on the road for National Grid became tougher as she wanted more time with the family which led her to the world of microchip fabrication and The Community Foundation. Needless to say every step of her journey was clearly preparation for what would come next, and there’s so many good takeaways that you really should give the whole thing a listen.
